Who we are

GiantCrate, available at giantcrate.com, is the residential window replacement service of Inatank Marketing Inc. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse the website, request a quote or contact us about a project.

Information you provide

The form collects your first name, email address, phone number, city or town, province or territory, project topic, any optional message, and a record of consent and submission time. Email correspondence includes your address and what you send us.

We use the city and province or territory to check whether we can serve your location, and your email address and phone number to contact you about your project. The initial form does not ask for your street address, financial information or identification documents. Please avoid including sensitive information or someone else’s details.

If your project moves forward, further information may be needed to assess, quote, schedule or carry out the work. We will explain that collection when it is needed. Additional service records are handled under the project’s applicable terms and retention arrangements.

Technical information

Hosting and security systems may process an IP address, browser information, the page requested and the request time to serve the website and prevent misuse. We do not use project request details to create advertising audiences.

Advertising links may contain campaign, ad group, ad, keyword or matching identifiers. In this version of the website, we do not attach them to your request or retain them for advertising measurement. We do not retain search query text or Microsoft click identifiers for request handling. Access logs are configured to exclude query strings.

How we use your information

We use your details to review your window replacement request, check service availability, respond by email or phone and discuss the information or assessment needed for a quote. We keep relevant correspondence and handle your privacy requests. Technical information is used to operate and protect the website.

We rely on your consent to handle and respond to the request, including the project-related processing disclosed here. Where applicable law permits or requires it, we may also use or retain information to meet legal obligations, protect rights or address misuse.

Submitting a request does not subscribe you to promotional emails or authorize unrelated marketing contact.

Access by our team and project specialists

Authorized members of Inatank Marketing Inc. handle your request. Specialists engaged to work on our behalf may receive the information necessary to review or carry out their role in your project. Access is limited to the relevant purpose and subject to appropriate confidentiality, contractual and security arrangements.

We do not sell your request or share it with other businesses for their own sales activity.

Operational service providers and legal disclosures

Providers of hosting, security, email delivery and email storage process information to operate the website and handle requests for us. We restrict access and use appropriate arrangements and safeguards for that processing.

We may disclose information when required by law or where otherwise permitted by applicable law to protect rights or address misuse.

Where information may be processed

Providers may process information in Canada or other jurisdictions, depending on the services used. Information outside your province or Canada may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws. We assess applicable requirements and use contractual, access and security safeguards. Contact us for information about the providers and processing locations relevant to your request.

Retention

For requests that do not become an agreed service project, our standard retention period is up to 90 days after the last substantive contact. Limited technical security logs are retained for up to 30 days. Routine backups may retain copies for up to 90 additional days after deletion from active systems and are restricted from ordinary use.

If you proceed with work, records needed to quote, arrange and deliver that project, or meet applicable contractual and legal obligations, follow the retention arrangements explained with your project documentation. We do not apply the unconverted-request deletion period to records that must be kept to deliver or document an agreed project.

Specific information may be kept longer where a legal obligation, dispute or documented security need requires it. Information no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymized as applicable law permits.

Cookies and advertising technology

This version of GiantCrate does not use Microsoft UET, advertising pixels, remarketing tools or third-party analytics. It does not store advertising attribution identifiers in cookies or browser storage. Necessary temporary security mechanisms may protect form submissions; they are not used for advertising.

External websites have their own privacy practices. Microsoft’s practices are described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Your choices and rights

You can browse without submitting a request. To withdraw consent to further request-related contact, email [email protected]. Withdrawal does not undo lawful processing already completed and may limit our ability to respond. An agreed service project may involve additional legal and contractual obligations.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion where available, or an applicable portable copy of your personal information. We may need proportionate information to verify your request.

Contact our Person in charge of the protection of personal information if you have concerns. You may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as appropriate.

Security

We use HTTPS for form submissions and restrict access to request records. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information through the form or ordinary email.

Children

The website is intended for adults arranging work on a home. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek children’s personal information.

Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change and seek fresh consent where required before a new use.
